Johnnie Eugene Rone

Johnnie Eugene Rone, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 62 in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Born on November 4, 1961, in Columbia, Tennessee, to the late Marshall and Mary Burgett Isabell, Johnnie's spirit and laughter brought immeasurable joy to all who knew him.

Johnnie's early years were spent in a loving family, being raised by his grandparents Virginia and Johnnie Rone alongside his siblings Sheila Ryker, and his late brother Anthony Tut Rone. He is also survived by his other siblings, Angie Isabell, Tammy Warren, Tommy Isabell, and Misty (Jason) Black and his sister-in-law, Glenda Rone. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Beckey Lacoax, Timothy Lacoax, Jennifer DeVault, Summer Wright, Wynter Warren, B.J. Carroll, Allie Carroll, and Al (Oop) Carroll, as well as his adored great-niece, Lillian Wolak whom held the biggest place in his heart. He will also be deeply missed as member of the FAB 5 which included his best friends and brothers Johnny Felkel, Eugene Carroll, Thomas Horner, and Tony Carroll.

A self-employed jack of all trades, Johnnie was known for his extraordinary ability to fix just about anything. His hands were rarely still, as he was always involved in a project or lending a helping hand to those in need. Johnnie was a master hustler, a man who understood the value of hard work and the importance of making every penny count. His lawn service was more than just a business; it was a means to extend a helping hand to those in need. He mowed lawns not only for income but also for the elderly and the struggling who couldn't afford to pay,

His commitment to his community was evident through his enthusiastic support of the Cancer Rides of Hohenwald, TN, where he dedicated his time and energy to a cause dear to his heart. But Johnnie's contributions to his community extended far beyond this. He was a mentor to many, taking in those less fortunate and imparting upon them his hard-earned wisdom. Johnnie knew life's challenges well, and he didn't shy away from sharing his knowledge, sometimes with a stern voice, to guide others onto a path of stability. His lessons, often delivered in the harshest tones, were rooted in respect and a desire to see others succeed.

Johnnie's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He could often be found collecting scrap, a testament to his belief that everything had value and purpose. His presence at local gatherings will be sorely missed. Johnnie was a familiar face at auctions, where his keen eye and strategic bidding were as much a part of the event as the items on offer and always with an eye for opportunity. The local pubs, too, will feel quieter without his laughter and stories, which he shared generously over a pint with friends and strangers alike.

An avid fisherman, Johnnie's greatest peace was found on the water, whether casting a line or simply floating down the river, completely at one with nature. His love for animals and wildlife was well known, as he cared for them with the same compassion he showed to people. After the loss of his brother, Anthony, Johnnie stepped in as a pillar of strength for his brother's family, showing unwavering dedication and love that knew no bounds.

Visitation with family and friends will be held in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services on Tuesday April 9, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 pm and again Wednesday April 10, 2024, from 3:00 pm until time of service at 4:00. Brothers Art McCormick and Shane Blackwood will be officiating.  Eugene Carroll, Thomas Horner, Terry Brewer, Pedro Carroll, Jeff Bennett, Anthony (Tone) Sparkman, Zach Haley, and Tommy Isbell will serve as pallbearers.
