Donald Elvin Hensley

Mr. Donald Elvin Hensley Sr. age 77 passed away October 24th at his residence in Hohenwald, TN.  He was born in Lewis County TN, on January 24, 1942 to the late Luther and Mary Jane Cotham Hensley. He enrolled in the United States Air Force in 1962 before being honorably discharged in 1966.  Upon returning from the Air Force he began his own trucking company which he ran for 40 years.  He was loved by all his family and friends.

Mr. Hensley is survived by son Donnie (Donna) Hensley; daughter Debbie Peery; grandchildren Daniel Peery, Danae Hensley; Dillion Hensley; and Devin Peery; great-grandchildren Braxton Peery, Macy Gardner and Colt Peery; and siblings Nancy Jane Spears, Martha Jo Hensley and David Hensley.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Sharp Hensley and siblings Sue Harlow, Junior Hensley, Ed Hensley, Robert Hensley and Jill Ann Baker.

Visitation will take place in the funeral home chapel Sunday October 27th from 12-2. A graveside service will immediately follow visitation at Dr. O.A. Kirk Memorial Cemetery in Linden, TN.
