Allen Branum Obituary

Mr. Allen Clay Branum 63 of Centerville unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday April 14,2021 at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN. Mr. Branum was born December 28,1957 in Detroit, Michigan to the late George and Viola (Stephens) Branum.  Allen worked for US Steel Corporation in Detroit as a millwright. After leaving the steel industry in 2019, he and his wife picked up their life and headed south to Tennessee. After getting settled they found a church to call home and on March 28,2021 he dedicated his life to the Lord after being baptized.

On June 21, 1986 Allen married his true lifelong companion Ms. Cathy Stevens and for 34 years made memories that would last a lifetime. They had a connection that no one would understand but them. Allen’s sense of humor and infectious smile would brighten even the darkest of days. He always had a way to make Cathy smile and would know what she needed without her saying a word. He lived his life to the fullest traveling all over the world to places such as Egypt, Jordan, and Sweden just to name a few. He seemed the happiest relaxing on a beach or saddling up for a long horseback ride. Mr. Branum had many talents up his sleeve from being a certified Aviation Mechanic to being part of a Certified Mounted Police Unit in the Huron Township. When he was not riding his horse or traveling the globe, he would set out on his motorcycle for a long peaceful drive to take in the breathtaking views ahead of him.

Mr. Branum is survived by his wife of almost 35 years Mrs. Cathy Stevens Branum; his son Steven Lilleyham; brothers Larry Branum (Linda), Eddie Branum, and Kenny Branum (Debbie); a sister Trish Branum; and incredibly special friends Robert and Debbie Conner and Gail Tatum.

A celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Sunday April 18,2021 at Linden Church of God beginning at 1:00 pm. Brother Rick Cottrell will be officiating.
