Barbara (Amacher) Turner

Mrs. Barbara Annette Turner passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She was born in Lewis County to the late Carl James Amacher and Christine Jones Amacher on March 9, 1940. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Jack Turner and son Barry Von Turner.

Barbara was a very special woman and she made those around her feel special as well. Everyone that came to her house was welcomed with open arms and invited to come in and often to eat while they were there. She made her family and friends a priority throughout her life.

Barbara was a hairdresser for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and traveling. Oil painting was something that she loved and enjoyed participating in weekly classes for years.

Survivors include a sister, Rebecca King; two daughters: Diena Hill (Jeff) and Vonda Mercer; 7 grandchildren: Sasha Powers (Josh), Lacey Dyer (Jacob), Whitney Ricketts (Gordon Dee), Erick Turner (Bernadette), Koley Turner, Jacob Mercer (Shayla), and Jessica Mercer; 7 great grandchildren: Lathan Powers, Landon Powers, Rylan Ricketts, Ellee Ricketts, Harper Dyer, Turner Dyer and Eli Turner.

Barbara will forever hold a spot in many hearts as sister, mother, Granny, aunt, and friend.
