Billie Joe Poff

Mr. Billie Jo Poff peacefully passed away on October 2, 2021, at the age of 79 in his Bon Aqua home surrounded by family. He was born in Bevkly, WV on October 27, 1941, to the late W.A. Poff and Eveline Hicks Poff. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy Jo Mangrum and his siblings David C. Poff, Paul D. Poff, and Jimmy Poff.

Mr. Poff was a member of the United States Air Force before being honorably discharged and beginning his career as a self-employed Carpenter and farmer. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and heading to the river for fishing. He was considered an all-around jack of all trades. He loved showing of his woodworking skills with the beautiful furniture he would make. His true pride and joy were his grandbabies and the time he was able to spend with them.

Mr. Poff is survived by his wife of 57 years Mrs. Nancy Winchester Poff; his children Millie Williams and  William Poff  both of Bon Aqua; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held October 10, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 pm at the East Hickman Community Center with brother Jeff Dake officiating.
