Carol Rita Weis

Carol Rita Weis was born January 28,1941 in New York City, NY and passed away at her Hohenwald home on June 26,2021.

In 1969 she married Fred Weis, and they lived on Long Island, NY where they built their own home, raised dozens of foster children, and made an amazing life for themselves. After retirement they moved to Coastal North Carolina, staying for about eight years. They then decided to go west, and settled in Hohenwald, TN.

Carol has fought and beaten cancer four times. Anyone that knew her knew she was strong, tough, compassionate, and loved her friends, family, and dogs.

She leaves behind her husband Fred; two sisters Patty Igel-Cruz and Joan Rasmussen; a daughter Christina (Kyle) Hudgins; two sons Robert Weis and Royal (Cindy) Weis; and three grandchildren C.J., Benji, and Michael.

Anyone who would like to make a donation in her honor may do so to the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund.
