Charlene Michelle (Alender) Vaughn

On August 24, 2022, Mrs. Charlene Michelle Alender Vaughn unexpectedly passed away at her Linden home at the age of 42. Charlene was born in Litchfield, IL on January 11, 1980, to Mr. Michael Raymond Alender and Ms. Debra Ann Miller.

Charlene enjoyed sitting down and unwinding with her arts and crafts or listening to any type of music. She had a smile that would light up any room and a laugh that was contagious. 

Along with her parents, Charlene leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Mr. Lamont Vaughn, children Jalea Sparks, Curtlen Sparks, Adria Alender, Lamont Vaughn Jr., and Serenity Vaughn; Grandfather Raymond Alender; and her siblings Angela Anderson, Maggie Scurlock, Holly Mix, Shauna Berry, Tabitha Baugh, and Jerry Baugh. She also leaves behind her Godmother Ms. Bobbey Jones and adopted Mother Donna Foerster.  

Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Russell and Wanda Miller, and her fraternal grandmother Violet Alender.

Visitation with family and friends will begin at 11:30 am on Monday August 29, 2022, in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services, with graveside services to follow at Carroll Cemetery at 1:15 pm. Brother Rick Stevens will be officiating.
