Charlotte Shirley (Bates) Talley

Ms. Charlotte “Shirley” Bates Talley was born September 2nd, 1933, the baby of 11 to Nancy Radie Bates and William Dufford Bates. Ms. Shirley passed from this earthly home and was reunited with her husband on Saturday March 25th, 2023.

 She was married to Leonard Ray “Glen” Talley on November 28th, 1953, and they shared 65 wonderful years.  Together they had twin daughters Glenda and Brenda Talley.  Shirly was above all a homemaker and a hardworking caregiver to both her husband and her family. The Last 20 years of her husband’s life she was is primary care provider. She worked in several factories in Hohenwald.   

Ms. Talley is survived by her twin daughters Brenda and Glenda Talley. In addition to her husband and parents Ms. Talley is preceded in death by her brothers Clyde, Claude, Carlton, Garland, Harlon, and sisters Ima, Irene, Jessie, Wyladean, and Louise.

Visitation with the family will be from 11-1 on Wednesday March 29th in the Chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services with graveside services at Milan Cemetery in Centerville.
