Darrin K Dotson

On April 30, 2022, Mr. Darrin Dotson “DD” unexpectedly passed away at the age of 53 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.  Darrin was born on June 10, 1968, in Hohenwald, TN to the late Geraldine and Eddie Hinson. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents Lester Reeves and Jessie Hickerson Reeves and his aunt Teresa Williams.

Mr. Dotson proudly served and fought for our country after enlisting in the United State Army National Guard. He retired from active duty and continued to still serve in the National Guard as a Combat Engineer.

He was always so full of life and would help anyone that needed it. DD never met a stranger and would often engage in hours long conversations with anyone that wanted to talk.

Darrin is survived by his wife Sarah Jane Jacobs Dotson; children Djay Dotson (Amy Lawson), Frankie Dotson (Ciara), James Harp, DLaina Dotson (Jonny Kunz), Caitlin Smith (Terry), and Kayla Simmons; grandchildren Everett, Lennox, Cayden, Jolene, Maggie, JoJo, Isabella, Asher, and Sylas. He is also survived by his siblings Tracy Seiber and Alycia Jenkins, aunts Paulette Barber, Patricia Middleton, and Betty Sue Halfacre; and nieces and nephews Britny, Jonathan, Preston, Zoey, Lj, Josey, Charleigh, Dillian, Angel, X-Man (Xander), Christina, Heather, Dinah, Harley, River, Lynsey, Ariella, and Daniell.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 12:00 until time of Service of 1:00 pm on Thursday May 5, 2022, in the Chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services. Brother John Rawdon will be officiating the service.
