Deanna June Bates, widow of Danny Neal Bates passed away after an extended illness Tuesday November 21,2023 at Life Care Center of Centerville, she was 81. The oldest child of the late Jack and Christine Winters, June was born in Hickman County on August 24, 1942, and grew up with her siblings Bonnie O’Brien (Gary) of Hohenwald, Jackie Williams (Elvis) of Lyles, Terry Hallums (Jeff) of Lebanon and her late brother the Anthony Winters.
On July 3, 1960, she married Danny and together they have four children Lisa Lancaster (Brad) of Nashville, the late Clifton Todd Bates, Danielle Paige Fields of Nashville, Erinn Bates Ziser (Glenn) of Nashville and five grandchildren, Zachary Luke Bates of Columbia, Bailey Adalaide Fields of Nashville, Augustus Daniel Lancaster of Nashville, Seth Raleigh Daniel Bates of Murfreesboro, and Johnathon Bennett Bates of Hohenwald.
She was a member of Flat Rock Church of Christ in Hohenwald prior to her illness and was an extraordinary homemaker who enjoyed Cooking, Baking, Tennis, Golf, Bridge and especially traveling the world.
A celebration of Life will be held at New Antioch Church of Christ in Lyles, TN Saturday December 2 @ 1:30pm.
