Denise Rachella Sturgell Svoboda, a beacon of love and gentleness, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, in Hohenwald, Tennessee, at the age of 67. Born on November 14, 1956, in Salem, Ohio, Denise was the cherished daughter of the late Norman and Alice Sturgell. Her warmth and friendliness touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
Denise's journey through life was marked by her deep commitment to her family and her work. She was a beloved wife to Clinton James Svoboda for a decade, mother to her daughters Jamie and Tina, and grandmother to Clara. Her siblings, Doug, Darrin, and Diana will remember her as a caring and supportive sister whose presence brought comfort and joy to family gatherings.
For many years, Denise served her community with pride as a school custodian. Her dedication to creating a clean and welcoming environment for students and staff alike was a testament to her strong work ethic and her passion for serving others.
Those who knew Denise will fondly recall her love for collecting various objects, each with its own story and place in her heart. Her home was a treasure trove of memories, carefully curated over the years. Denise's other passion was taking long drives, a pastime that allowed her to revel in the beauty of nature. The rolling hills, changing seasons, and serene landscapes were a source of endless joy and tranquility for her.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday December 8, 2023, at 10:00 am in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services.
