Mechanic 03

Harold Gene Keeton

October 12, 1933 ~ January 12, 2022 (age 88)

Mr. Harold Gene Keeton passed from this earthly world on January 12, 2022, at Saint Thomas Centerville at the age of 88. Mr. Keeton was born Waynesboro, TN on October 12, 1933, to the late Clarence and Vivian Miller Keeton. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings James Keeton, Faye Jones, David Keeton, Johnny Keeton, and Bobby Keeton.

After graduation Mr. Harold enlisted in the United States Army proudly serving his country. After leaving the military career behind he found a passion working as a Mechanic, leading to the opening of his own business Hohenwald Auto & Diesel.  Being a mechanic wasn’t all he could do. He was known by his family as a true Jack of All Trades. He was always willing to tackle any task at hand including working on old tractors.

In his spare time, he enjoyed being outside heading to the river or working in his garden. Once he settled down for the day, Harold would kick back and turn on his favorite old western movies and relax.

Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years Mrs. Wanda Lee Talley Keeton; his children Karen Jewell (Karey), Danny Lee Keeton (Dora), Don R. Keeton (Jocelyn), Darrell R. Keeton, and Gina K. Keeton-Gafford (Don); his brother Ronnie Keeton; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
