Jack Dryden Obituary

Jack Dryden II, 72 years, of Linden, TN, passed away September 26, 2020 at Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington, TN.  He was born November 13,1947 to the late Jack and Luray (Welch) Dryden in Oberlin, KS.  Mr. Dryden enlisted in the United States Army where he was deployed to fight in the Vietnam War. While in the Military he was an Appointed Warrant Officer and a Helicopter Pilot. During his military career he earned several badges and medals such as the Army Aviator badge, an Air Medal and many others in addition to these.  Upon his release from the Army, Mr. Dryden began a multiple of careers. He worked in lumber grading for a majority of his life before settling into retirement.

Jack enjoyed sitting around by a fire just chatting with family and friends. He would sit on his porch and read a good book from his favorite authors Tom Clancy or David Weber and grab his bird field guide and birdwatch. Jack LOVED his coffee and he will always be remembered for being very particular about it. He will be also remembered for his love for animals and will be missed by his special kitty Pretty face.

Mr. Jack leaves behind his daughters Helen (Kelly) Mooneyhan, and Anne (Rickie) Phillips; grandchildren Logan, Jackson, and Gabriel Owen; siblings Alec Dryden, Ray Dryden, and Eve Howard; and special friends Carol Burney, Jeanette Brake, and Susan Witty.

A military graveside service will be held at a later time. Details of this service will be updated once confirmed.
