James "Jim" Author Walker

James "Jim" Walker Obituary

On November 15, 2021, Mr. James (Jim) Author Walker peacefully passed away at the age of 81. Jim was born in Adairville, KY on October 14, 1940, to the late Douglas and Lula Law Walker.  Mr. Walker was also preceded in death by his sisters Peggy Miller and Alice Berkley.

On March 29, 1997, He married Ms. Donna Harris and the two were members of First Baptist Church in Hohenwald. Mr. Walker was an electrician for IBEW Union for 43 years before retiring. In his quiet time, he enjoyed creating masterpieces from wood. His never stopping projects included painting, wood carving and chainsaw carvings.  He always had something in the works.

Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Mrs. Donna Harris Walker; daughter Donya (Scott) Talley; grandson Jonathon (Amanda) Berry; and great-grandchildren Addy Berry and Emmy Berry. He also is survived by special cousins Steve and Julie Grubbs, George Grubbs, and Serena House.

Visitation with family and friends will be held January 15, 2022, in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services from 12:00-1:00 pm. A celebration of life memorial will follow at 1:00 pm with brother Mark Webb officiating.
