James "Jimmy" Gary Allen Jr.

James (Jimmy) Gary Allen Jr., recently of Hohenwald, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at his residence in Florence, Alabama.

Jimmy moved to Hohenwald in 1984 where he and his family established Twin Cedar Logging in 1985. He worked there from the age of 18 until moving to Florence, Alabama in 2020. He enjoyed spending his free time woodworking and producing the most beautiful furniture. Jimmy loved being in the outdoors and was often found grabbing his fishing pole and box and heading to his favorite fishing spots.

He is survived by his only loving son, Evan Allen and his fiancé Karlee Rochelle of Collinwood; his loving parents, Betty Lou Allen and Jim Allen and fiancé Judy Burton; and siblings, Kevin Allen and Amy and Shawn Hale, all of Hohenwald and Jeff (Christy) Allen of Collinwood; and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be held in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services on Friday September 2, 2022, from 12:00-2:00 pm with services following at 2:00. Burial will take place at the family cemetery at 400 Metal ford Road, Hohenwald. TN. Brother Blake Quillen and Shane Blackwood will be officiating.
