James "Rusty" Harold Onweller

In the morning hours on July 16,2021 Mr. James Harold “Rusty” Onweller passed away in his Hampshire, TN home surrounded by family. He was born in San Jose, Ca on May 10,1946 to the late Glen Albert and Laverne Lippert Onweller. Along with his parents Rusty was preceded in death by his son Christopher Onweller; a brother Cal Onweller, and his brother-in-law Jim Oliver.

Rusty didn’t lead a boring life and was always ready for the next adventure. He had always been admired for his want to help anyone in need. He was a committed, hard working man that would stop at nothing to provide for his family. Rusty was witty, hilarious, and trustworthy and loved his family more than anything. He never saw his stepchildren as anything different from his own. He enjoyed antique treasure hunting, his animals, playing poker, or making memories hunting with his brothers.

Mr. Onweller is survived by his wife of 11 years Mrs. Debra Grafft Onweller; his children Melissa Ousley, Stephanie Onweller, and Kenneth James; stepchildren Donald Grafft, Dana Lee Grafft Shoemaker, and Darren Grafft; siblings Evon Onweller Oliver and Craig Onweller; a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Rusty also leaves behind his beloved German Shepherds Sister and Schatz.

A celebration of Life memorial service will be held Sunday August 1,2021.
