Jason Barnes, who was born on June 27, 1987, in Selmer, Tennessee, and passed away on June 15, 2026, in Hohenwald, Tennessee, was a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend whose life was marked by hard work, loyalty, and a warm spirit that touched many. He was known by those who loved him as a man who faced life with strength and determination, and he carried himself with a bright smile that reflected the kindness and humor he shared so freely with others.

Jason spent much of his life working in construction and logging, fields that suited his practical nature and strong hands. He was a handy man in the truest sense, someone who could be counted on to get the job done and to do it well. He also leaves behind his grandchild, Hutsyn James Barnes, who brought joy to his heart. He is survived by his sister, Kendra Pomnitz, who shared in his life and memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl Barnes and Jeannie Dicus Barnes, as well as Kristina Davis, all of whom held a special place in his life and memory.

Those who knew Jason will remember him as a man who was handy, loving, and friendly, with a strong spirit and a deep devotion to the people around him. He was a hard worker who met life head-on and remained steadfast through every challenge. His life was a reflection of resilience, devotion, and the simple but powerful values of family, friendship, and perseverance. He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for who he was, and for the love and, laughter he shared so generously.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 10:00 am until time of service of 10:30 am in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services.
