John Peter McCann

At the age of 81, Mr. John Peter McCann passed away at his Hohenwald home on June 23, 2022. He was born on October 29, 1940, in Jim Falls, Wisconsin to the late Nathaniel and Ellen Anderson McCann.

John served his country proudly as a member of the United States Airforce. After leaving the military he began a career in carpentry and construction. This was put to good use as his family considered him the jack of all trades. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, and creating beautiful ornaments. In his spare time, he loved to cook and bake for his family and friends.  John never took a single moment for granted and lived his life to the fullest. He had a way about him that he never met a stranger and enjoyed conversation with anyone he met.

Mr. McCann is survived by his wife of 41 years Mrs. Kristy Hudgins McCann; children David (Bridgett) Hudgins, Joey McCann, and Jenny McCann; grandchildren Chloe Johnson, Callie Johnson, Halie Hudgins, Ashton Hudgins, Anthony Travolent, Greg Miller, Ciera Miller, and Nathan McCann. He also leaves behind to carry on his memory a great-granddaughter Yolanda McCann, and his siblings Joanne Miller and Bill McCann.

Per Mr. McCanns wishes no services are currently planned. Adair Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
