Holland Joye Wildman Talley, affectionately known as Ms. Joye by her loved ones, entered into eternal rest on March 8, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on January 7, 1945, in the town of Hohenwald, Tennessee, Joye's journey came full circle as she passed away peacefully in the same town that she first called home.
The daughter of the late Raymond Holland and Flora Estelle Depriest Wildman, Joye inherited a legacy of strength and compassion that she carried throughout her life. Though her brother Alan R. Wildman preceded her in death, she is fondly remembered by her remaining brother, Alton C. Wildman, and his wife Ann, who cherish the memories they shared.
Joye's vibrant spirit will forever be celebrated by her children, Scott Talley and his wife Donya, and Crystal Gaddes and her husband Michael. She was a source of love and guidance for her grandchildren, Jonathon Berry and his wife Amanda, Ethan Gaddes and his wife April, and Shaun Gaddes. The light of her life shined brighter with the arrival of her great-grandchildren Addy, Emmy, Isabella, Chloe, and McKenna, who will carry her legacy of love forward.
Throughout her life, Joye formed an extended family with her colleagues at Titan Trucking, where she took pride in her work as a truck driver. Her colleagues became a second family, and her presence will be profoundly missed within the trucking community.
Joye's zest for life was evident in her array of interests. She was a talented seamstress, often creating beautiful clothes for her children and grandchildren. Her love for travel took her on many adventures, but she found equal joy in the simple pleasures of tending to her yard, quilting, and playing bingo with friends or quilting with the Piney Baptist Quilting Club. The tunes that filled her backyard retreat were a testament to her love for windchimes. She collected anything related to bulldogs, reflecting her fun-loving and loyal nature.
Known for her loving heart, kind soul, and infectious sense of humor, Joye had the remarkable ability to light up a room and bring laughter to any occasion. She was a friend to many, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. Her four-legged baby, Dolly, was a source of endless affection and companionship.
Visitation with family and friends will be held in the Chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10:00-1:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Swiss Cemetery. Brother Matthew Farr will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund in honor of Ms. Joye.
