Kelly Michelle Tatum was born on March 24, 1989.
For 35 years, she blessed us with a lifetime of memories. On March 2, 2025, she left us to be with the stars, surrounded by family and friends. She passed her love of stars and space onto her nephew Wesley, along with documentaries.
She was a huge animal lover, especially cats, her pride and joy being Bob. She loved cuddling with Bob and reading a good book. Even though she had no children of her own, she has always loved having little ones around her and helping them grow. She instilled compassion and advocacy into all the children she loved so dearly. All the way to the end, she was more concerned about those around her than herself.
She leaves behind her mom Carrie (Jeremy) Tatum, her sister Valerie (Toni) Tomlinson; nephew Wesley Tomlinson; her aunt Regina Jennings, who she always hoped to be like; and her grandmother Helen (Gary) Quillen.
She had a lifetime of friendships that helped shape the wonderful person she was, especially Katie, Toni, Sasha, Melody and more names that can be listed.
Kelly joined the stars with her Dad (Steve Tatum), Granny and PawPaw (Jewell and Ronald Tatum), aunt (Sherry Hinson) and cousin (Drew Hinson).
Kelly got her love of stars, space, and nature from her adventures on the Trace. Per her wishes a celebration of life will be held at Swanview Outlook (mile marker 392) on the Natchez Trace on March 6, 2025, at 3:30 pm.
