Leonard Madden Obituary

Leonard Pearson Madden, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024, in Parsons, Tennessee, at the age of 66. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 24, 1957, Leonard was a man whose kindness and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew him.

Leonard shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Cathy Madden. Together, they found joy in simple pleasures, most notably their 11 years living on the river, where they embraced the tranquility of nature and the companionship of each other. Leonard's love for Cathy was the bedrock of their family, a testament to devotion and partnership.

Leonard was a dedicated family man, deeply rooted in the love for his children Brandy Madden (James Norton), Shannon Seagraves, Christy English, and Michael (Jamie) Seagraves. He endured the profound loss of his son David Seagraves and carried his memory with pride and affection. His daughter-in-law, Becky Seagraves, held a special place in his heart, as did his siblings Danny (Vickie) Madden, Angie Madden, and Teresa (Tim) Stockdale, who will miss him dearly.

His love continued to blossom with each grandchild, Bradden (Kayla) Seagraves, Dalton Chase Seagraves, Brandon Seagraves, Haley Parker, Allison (Kenneth) Garner, Cynthia (Levi) Copeland, and David Mathis. Leonard's great-grandchildren, Brilee, Clayton, and Knoxson Seagraves; Slade and Able Seagraves; Scarlett and Olivia Garner; and Elora Copeland, brought him immeasurable joy and pride.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Joyce Madden, and his son, David Seagraves. Leonard's life will be celebrated and remembered by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Leonard's professional life was marked by an impressive 39-year career as a truck driver. His dedication to his work was paralleled only by his commitment to his family and his passions.

An avid outdoorsman, Leonard found solace and excitement in hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to immerse himself in the beauty of nature. His love for the great outdoors. His years spent boating were among his most cherished memories.
