Linda I. (Watts) Swank, age 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Linden, Tennessee, on March 14, 2026.
She was born on June 14, 1953, in Bryan, Ohio, to the late Carson Watts and June Moore Watts.
Linda will be remembered for her kind heart, quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. She lived a life rooted in compassion, always willing to lend a hand or offer comfort to those in need. Her warmth and gentle spirit touched many lives and will not be forgotten.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially working on crossword puzzles and sudoku games, as well as spending time walking around the family property. These quiet moments reflected her thoughtful nature and appreciation for peace and home.
She was a devoted wife, whose love and dedication to her family were evident in everything she did. Her presence brought comfort and stability, and she created a home filled with care, understanding, and enduring love.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Melvin Swank; her two sons, Shane Swank (Windy) and Barney Swank (Dusty); her brother, Larry Watts; her stepbrothers, Jackie Brewer and Jimmy Dahmer; her five grandsons, Chris, Cody, Kasey, Robert, and Dominic, as well as seven great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory.
The family has chosen to celebrate her life privately at a later date.
