Lorene Patricia Barton, age 60, of Hohenwald, Tennessee, passed away on May 26, 2026. She was born on July 12, 1965, in Elkhart, Indiana, and lived a life marked by love, kindness, and a warm spirit that touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Lorene was a deeply loving woman whose presence brought comfort and joy to her family and friends. She was known for being very outgoing, and she carried herself with a friendly nature that made it easy for others to feel welcome in her company. Her kind heart and generous spirit were evident in the way she cared for those around her, and she will be remembered for the genuine love she shared so freely throughout her life.
Family was the center of Lorene’s world. She cherished her children, CaSandra Jarrett, Michael Johns, JariAnn Barton, and Johnathan Barton, and she took great pride in each of them. Her love for her grandchildren, Waylon Maynard, Sailor Flynn, Elijah Flynn, Jazzmin Carter, Branson Barton, Keegan, and Kaydence, was immeasurable, and she found great happiness in their laughter, their accomplishments, and the special moments they shared together. Lorene treasured every opportunity to be with her family, and the bonds she built with them will remain a lasting part of her legacy.
She is also survived by her brother, Donald Jerrett, who shared in her life’s journey and memories. Lorene was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Beatty (Burns); her father, Paul Jarrett; and her stepfather, John Burns.
Lorene had many interests that reflected her creative and caring nature. She enjoyed crafting and found joy in creating with her hands. She also loved gardening, and she appreciated the beauty of watching things grow and flourish. These hobbies brought her peace and satisfaction, and they were a reflection of the patience and tenderness that defined her character. Whether she was working on a craft project, tending to her garden, or spending time with family, Lorene brought the same heart and dedication to everything she did.
