Marvin Thomas Murdock

On December 5, 2022, Mr. Marvin Thomas Murdock SR.  peacefully passed away at the age of 66 at his Hohenwald home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sumtner, SC on April 13, 1956, to the late Hugh Lionel and Peggy Elizabeth Maness Murdock.

Marvin leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years Mrs. Ruth Snelson Murdock; children Marvin T. Murdock Jr (Lisa Carroll), Robert Hugh Murdock (Tonya Jones), and Nicole Parton (Tyler); grandchildren Kedron, Kinsley, and Brody, Toby and Simon. He also leaves behind his siblings Randy Murdock (Diana), Eleanor O’Guinn (Tom Skelton), Jeff Murdock, James William Flippo (Ashley), and Mary Defoe (Jamie).

In his spare time, he and his wife Mrs. Ruth enjoyed being outdoors fishing at their favorite spot Reed Hole in Hohenwald. Mr. Murdock was described as a loving and caring soul. Although he was on the quiet side, he never met a stranger and was there for anyone that needed him. He was a hard worker and spent 29 years providing for his family as a machine operator. The thing he will be remembered by the most is how amazing of a father, husband, brother, and grandfather he was.
