Michael Wyrosdick Obituary

Michael Irving Wyrosdick, a cherished family man and a proud veteran, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2024, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Born on June 21, 1957, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late James and Judith Wyrosdick, Michael's life was a testament to the values of love, dedication, and humor.

Michael's early years in Alabama laid the foundation for a life of service and craftsmanship. After proudly serving his country in the United States Army, he continued to honor his heritage as an active member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. His commitment to preserving history was matched only by his skill as a builder, a trade that brought both joy and purpose to his life.

Michael's heart was truly at home, where he was a devoted husband to his wife, Paula Wyrosdick, and a loving father to his son, Kenny Barnes, and daughter-in-law, Candy. His role as a family man extended to his siblings, Richard, James, Steven, and Peter Wyrosdick, and he felt the absence of his late sister, Jo'Ann Wyrosdick. The light of his life shone brightest when surrounded by his grandchildren, Kailyn Braden (Austin), Jade Barnes, and Sarah May, and his niece, Stevie Ammons, whose lives he enriched with his warmth and wit.

Known for his knack for storytelling and his infectious laugh, Michael's presence was a source of joy at every family gathering. He had an unparalleled ability to turn ordinary moments into cherished memories, whether he was playing games with his grandchildren, embarking on family trips, or capturing the world through his lens as an avid photographer.

Michael's passion for life extended to his many projects, which could often be found taking shape in his garage. There, among the array of tools and the scent of sawdust, he created not just objects, but a legacy of craftsmanship and care that will be remembered by all who knew him.
