Norma Jean "Peachie" Dodd Miller, aged 57, of Florence, AL, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2023. Born on April 8, 1966, to the late Doyal and Beatrice Akers Dodd, Peachie was the light and love to all who knew her. Her infectious laughter and boundless kindness will be remembered by friends and family.
Peachie was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Lynn Miller; her infant brother, Doyal Jr.; and her baby sister, Dodd Baby. Despite these profound losses, her resilient spirit never faltered, and she continued to live with immense love and generosity.
She is survived by her loving sons, Bradley (Shaleigh) Miller and Daniel (Amanda) Miller, who will carry on her legacy of love and family devotion. Peachie was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren, each of whom she adored and cherished more than anything in this world. The joy and laughter they shared will continue to resonate in their hearts forever. Also mourning Peachie's passing are her sister, Lisa Cowens, and her brother, Tommy Dodd.
Peachie's interests were wide and varied, but her passion for the Venom Kings RC was unmatched. She found great joy and camaraderie in the RC community, where she was known for her fun loving nature and her ability to make every gathering more enjoyable.
Above all, Peachie was a family woman. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her loved ones, whether it was a quiet afternoon at home or a lively family gathering. She created a warm and welcoming environment where laughter and stories were always in ample supply. Her little dog, Zero, was never far from her side, providing companionship and boundless affection.
Described by those who knew her best as loving, funny, and kind, Peachie's legacy is one of unwavering love and the joy of living. Her ability to find humor in everyday life and her willingness to extend a helping hand to anyone in need were hallmarks of her character.
Peachie's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. She will be deeply missed, but the love she shared with us will continue to inspire and comfort us all the days of our lives.
