Parish Joseph Phelps

Parish Joseph Phelps, 49, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed on September 12, 2023. Parish was born December 4, 1973, in Saranac Lake, NY to Everest and Leola Phelps.

He served as a faithful employee at Walmart for 29 years and was a published author of "Whoo Whoo Is Making That Noise". His passions included woodworking, trivia, watching movies, and trying new things.

He was often enamored by nature and animals. He was best known for his sense of humor and practical jokes. He will be missed for his big heart, creativity, humility, and inquisitive mind. He will be remembered as someone who would move mountains for the people in his life.

He is survived by his daughters, Kanvas and Karysma Phelps and Anna Arnett, the pride, and joys of his life; mother, and siblings: Phillip (Peggy) Phelps, Tanya (John) Kerns, Darline Phelps, and Tara Gonio; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who he shared precious memories with that left lasting impressions on their lives. He is preceded in death by his father, and brothers: Lynn, Emerson, and Dwayne Phelps.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm on Saturday September 16, 2023, at Highland Church of Christ in Columbia TN. A memorial service will follow the visitation.
