Ramona Lee (Blackwell) Runions

On January 23, 2023, Mrs. Ramona “Maw Maw” Lee Runions unexpectedly passed from this earthly world at the age of 78. Mrs. Ramona was born in Guernsey county Ohio on June 1, 1944, to the late Raymond and Ados Lee Bates Blackwell. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son Anthony Clark Runions, grandson Alan Dupont and siblings Gwen (Joe) Miller, Gene (Jacie) Blackwell, Zelma (Sam) Shook, Don (Nancy) Blackwell, Bethel "Bill" (Pat) Blackwell, Arlene (Ken) Brown, Tim Blackwell, and Steve (Gloria) Blackwell.

Mona is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Mr. T.R. Runions; children Brian (Charlotte) Runions, Jerry (Tina) Runions, Jeff (Tina) Runions, and Monica (Rusty) DuPont; grandchildren Kyle (Leah) Runions, Peyton Runions, Parker Runions, James (Bethany) Gray, Chevy Runions, Alaina (Daniel) Deaver, Gabe Runions, Justin (Devon) Runions, Cameron (Sadie) Tripp, Casey Tripp, Carson (Savannah) Tripp, Aaron (Cassie) DuPont, and Andy (Stephanie) Dupont. She also leaves behind to carry her memory on 24 great-grandchildren, and two sisters Marcia (J.T.) Runions and Vera (Russell) Runions, and a host of nieces, nephews that she adored. Mrs. Mona will also be missed by her Runions family. They were more to her than just in-laws, they were truly family that she was blessed to be a part of for over 60 years. 

She and her husband were members of Springer Church of Christ and Pineview Church of Christ. Maw Maw was passionate about teaching the word of her Savior. She was one who read the entire Bible from front to back many times and was excited about teaching bible school at her church. Nothing was more important to her than taking care of those that she loved. Her family was her whole world. In her spare time, she would often indulge in crossword puzzles, bible trivia, or watching gameshows. She even traveled with family to attend the Price is Right multiple times.

Visitation with family and friends will be held in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services on Thursday January 26, 2023, from 5:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Pineview Church of Christ on Friday January 27, 2023, beginning at 12:00 pm with visitation beginning at 10:00 until time of services. A burial will follow at Springer Cemetery in Hohenwald. Brothers Mark McDonald Bobby Carroll will be officiating.
