Mr. Roy Howe unexpectedly passed away at the age of 74, on August 13, 2022, at St. Thomas West. He was born in Tunica, MS on April 25, 1948, to the late Eugene and Mamie Vines Howe. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his children David Howe and Wendy Stephens, and his siblings David Howe and Ann Howe Self.
After graduating high school, Roy immediately enlisted in the United States Army where he would retire from after 21 years of service. During his military career he fought in Vietnam among side his fellow men and was in the NATO Forces stationed in Izmir, Turkey. He was a true patriot that believed in what he was called to do.
He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and loved to listen to the gospel. Anyone that knew him, knew he was a hardworking, responsible, all-around good man. Roy enjoyed carpentry and woodworking, but most of all spending time with those he loved.
Mr. Roy is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mrs. Ada Long Howe; sisters Shirley Howe, Susan Howe Jamison, and Joan Harding; and two grandchildren Makenzie and Riley Lawson.
No services are currently planned. Adair Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
