On March 16, 2023, on her 32nd birthday Miss Samantha Maxine McCallister-Crowe peacefully passed away in the arms of her loving family in her Hohenwald home. She was the daughter of Kenda Lawson Crowe and the late Kenneth “Bop” Crowe. She was also preceded in death by her niece Naomi Alkire and her maternal grandmother Lanell Luna.
In addition to her mom Kenda, she is survived by her sisters Sarah (Jimmy) Gibbs and Hannah (Cole) Parks; her brother Zech (Brenda) McCallister, and many loving cousins and family.
Everyone who met Sam knew instantly the love she had for her family and always enjoyed being close to them. They enjoyed numerous days outside together laying on blankets having picnics and soaking in the warm rays of the summer sun. She was most at peace when she could have her toes in the sand and feel the ocean water run over her feet. Most that really knew her, knew how precious and sweet Sam’s personality was. With a smile that could melt any heart, you would instantly fall in love her. Sam had a collection of stuffed animals, but her favorite was her “teddy” and was a constant for her. Although she will be missed tremendously, she can now walk the golden streets with her “Bop”.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services on Monday March 20, 2023, from 5:00-9:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 pm on Tuesday March 21, 2023, with Debbie Landers and Sarah Gibbs officiating. Sam will be laid to rest next to her Bop at Swiss Cemetery following the funeral service.
