Sarah J. Glover Keafer, 88 years old, passed away peacefully at her residence in Tennessee. Born to parents Kenneth A. Glover and Goldie J. Tissue Glover (Confluence, PA) on April 25th, 1936, in Somerset, PA.

She attended and graduated from Turkeyfoot H.S.-Class of 1954. Married to Paul R. Keafer on July 10th, 1959, and had 5 children. As a young girl, Sarah worked at her parent's restaurant in Confluence, PA. After marrying Paul, she worked as a Clothing Inspector at Dallmeyer Industries and as Executive Manager for K&D Farms and Path Valley Meats. She also worked as a Toll Collector for the Pennsylvania Turnpike from 1980 until her retirement in October 1997. After retirement, she moved to Arizona with Paul and enjoyed hiking in the desert and activities with friends until her husband's passing in December 1999.

She then returned to her family homestead in Confluence, PA. There, she was very active in her local church and community; serving as Chapter Chaplain for the local VFW and President of the Ladies Auxillary. Sarah was known as being highly independent, loving and generous. She was also passionate about her Faith and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Goldie Glover, Brother Donald Glover, sisters: Arlene (Albert) and Carolyn (Steeger), husband Paul R. Keafer, infant daughter Kim E. Keafer, foster son Richard L. Yohe and companion Theodore Bisel.

She is survived by children: Carleton A.”Pete” Keafer (Angie), Michael “Todd” Keafer, Debora Keafer-Dorsey (Ronnell), and Travis W. Keafer (Amy); grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the United Community Church of God in Ursina, PA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local churches and community resources. Adair Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
