Sheila Kleinsmith Obituary

Ms. Sheila Marie Ryan Kleinsmith peacefully passed away at her Hohenwald home on Saturday November 5, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 75.

She was born in Medina, NY on October 25, 1947, to the late Robert E. Ryan and Julia Mae Poegel Ryan. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kimberly Lynn Stovall and her precious chihuahua puppies’ snickers and tinker bell.

Ms. Sheila leaves behind to carry on her memory her children Denise (David) Riches of Hohenwald, Melissa (Phillip) Olivencia of Greenwood, IN, Brandy (Jeff) Bennett of Hohenwald, and Shannon Runions of Hohenwald; grandchildren Christina (Nathan) Bean, Crystal (Justin) Reeves, Andrew Bennett, Kasey Rippeto (Colby Cotham), Brandon Maxwell Black, Daisy Runions, Ja’la Bennett (Gage Peters), Andrew Runions, and Jayanna Bennett. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren Adyson and Braylon Bean, Ashton Brackeen, Elias and Ike Reeves, Jasper and Kollyns Cotham, Lennox Black, Waylon Peters, Blaine and Blaze Bennett, and Greyson Runions; her sister Carolyn (Richard) Murray of Lockport, NY; Cousin Jerry Fitzsimmons, and beloved nieces and nephew Pat (Carolyn) Murray, Lisa (Brian) Stratton, and Jennifer (Brian) Wilcocks.

Ms. Kleinsmith was one of the most giving and loving individuals. Even with health struggles and fighting lung cancer she spent her life caring for others from being a homemaker to babysitter and a CNA. Her door was always open to anyone who needed a place to lay their head or a hot meal to eat. Throughout the years she adopted many children into the family and gave them a loving and caring home.

She was known as a free spirit with an immense love for all animals. From bird watching to butterflies and gardening she was one with the outdoors. Sheila enjoyed many road trips and overseas adventures with family or stopping at local yard sales to find treasures.
