Shirley Martin Obituary

Ms. Shirley Sue Martin 68, of Hohenwald passed away Friday January 24,2020 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.  She was born in Indiana on April 21,1951 to the late Elmer and Irene (Davis) Morris. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a son Timothy Napier and one sister. Ms. Martin spent her life as a homemaker taking care of her children. She would often be seen outside walking and taking what natural beauty God had to offer. Ms. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church where she participated in many events helping others.

She is survived by her two sons Roger Napier and Brian Napier of Hohenwald, a daughter Katina Simms of Nashville, three brothers, one sister, ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind special friends from church Brandi King, Samantha Marks, Ashley Hallman and Lisa Anderson.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Thursday January 30th from 2:00-5:00 pm at First Baptist Church Hohenwald. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5:00 pm with Brother Bert Spann officiating.  There will be no burial for Ms. Martins wishes were to be cremated. In Lieu of flowers the family ask for donations be made to the American Cancer society.
