Steven Craig Drape

Mr. Steven Craig Drape, 64 of Hohenwald, TN passed away at his home on March 26,2020. He was born October 11,1955 to the late Arnold William (Bill) and Jane (Whicker) Drape of Hohenwald in Des Moines, IA. 

Mr. Drape served in the United States Navy from 1974-1976. After his discharge, he had spent over 40 years in the Martial Arts practicing under many well-known instructors around the world.  During those years he obtained his master’s degree in applied linguistics and became a professor of English as a second language. This degree would take him from teaching in China to teaching Royalty in Dubai and multiple other places in between.  He had an adventurous life living in places such as China, Taiwan and the Philippines before settling back home in Tennessee. Steven held many titles during his time including scuba instructor, NRA certified handgun instructor, First Response instructor and a CCW instructor for the State of Tennessee. In his spare time recently, he had been working on advancing the KBS systems program.

Mr. Drape is survived by his son Christopher Drape of Cebu, PI; a sister Diane Hartzner of Tampa Bay, FL;  a brother Doug Drape of Tampa Bay, FL; cousins Deanna Whicker Anderson and Sterling Anderson of Paris, TN; and a host of other cousins around the country.
