Thomas Edwin Lindsey Sr., born on November 28, 1955, in Greenville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024, in Hohenwald, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and spirited generosity.
Thomas, known affectionately as Tom by his friends and loved ones, grew up under the loving guidance of his parents, John and Doris Lindsey. His childhood in Greenville instilled in him a profound appreciation for his Southern roots, a value that he carried with him throughout his life. Tom's formative years were shared with his siblings, including his late brother Larry Lindsey and his sister Angie Barrett, who fondly recalls the countless memories they created together.
He met and married the love of his life, Connie, and together they built a life characterized by mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering support. Although Connie preceded him in death, the love they shared continued to be the foundation for their family. Tom was also preceded in death by his son Thomas Lindsey Jr.
He was a pillar of strength to his grandchildren, Bailey (Buster) Carroll, Tuff Lindsey, and Kolton Carroll, who will remember him as a source of endless encouragement. His son, Jason Lindsey, together with his wife Leah, will carry forward his father's values and lessons.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in his honor to the Lewis County Highschool Trap shooting team, Central Christian Fellowship, or to a member of the community in need.
A celebration of life visitation took place on Monday October 7, 2024 at Central Christian Fellowship in Hohenwald.
