Thomas L. South

On the evening of February 15,2021 Mr. Thomas L. South left this earthly world at the age of 69 in his Hohenwald home. He was born on May 28,1951 in Lawrence County to the late Riley Preston and Lovie Hunter South. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by Riley Carl South, Bobby South and sister Jettie Kelly.

 Tom was a man of few words but a man of many abilities. He enjoyed his work. Mr. South enjoyed being in his shop working on various projects from welding to other mechanical gadgets. He enjoyed heading out to auctions to find that hidden treasure. Tom was known for his collection of old cars, more specifically Ford vehicles.

Mr. South is survived by his wife of 30 years Mrs. Janice South; daughter Misty Galberth; step daughters Colinda Wentworth, Corinne Fleenor, Brenda Pfiester, Laura Chandler, and April McClain; grandchildren Jana and Autumn; and siblings Marie Fraley, Wilma Chapman, Eva Yarbrough, and Wanda Chapman.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Sunday February 21,2021 from 12:00-2:00 pm in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm with brother Glen Floyd officiating.
