Thomas Carl White

Mr. Thomas Carl White, 80 of Hohenwald passed away September 10,2019 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville TN.  Thomas was born September 25,1938 in Wyandotte, MI to the late Gerald and Annie Lawson White.  Mr. White owned and operated Thomas C. White and Associates Land Surveying with offices in Waverly, TN and Hohenwald, TN from 1972 until 2006. 

Mr. White was a charter member of the Tennessee Association of Professional surveyors where he served as president for two terms. He also served two terms on the state Board examiners of surveyors.  Thomas was also an active member of the Hohenwald Historical Society where he could show off his passion for history as a tour guide. 

His family has described him as a very family oriented man who loved his family to no end and loved and supported our great country. He served In the Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve from 1956-1963.

Mr. White is survived by his wife of 58 years Joyce Holt White, sons Christopher Carl White (Dawn) of Dickson, Gregory Gene White of Hohenwald, and Russell Todd White of Waverly; grand children Matthew Christopher White and Micheal Gregory White of Dickson; and Natalie Rae White  and Ella Rose White  both of Waverly TN; brother in law Tony Holt of Tulsa OK and numerous Nieces and nephews. 

A visitation  with the family will be held Friday September 20, 2019 from 3-5 in the chapel of Adair Funeral and Cremation services. A graveside service will begin immediately following the visitation at Swiss Cemetery with brother Tom Gibson officiating.
